Celebrating birthdays with a Henna

Birthday to me have always been an extremely special day. I really do believe every birthday is a new beginning, a day to spend by spoiling yourself and enjoying all the things you love. Of course I usually like to spend the main day with Mustafa, but then have a massive party with my friends, wear new clothes, cook food, eat heaps and oh boy spoil me self to bits!!

blog-matildaWhen someone, calls me to do a Henna on their birthdays, or when they want to give my Henna as a gift to their loved ones, I feel extra special being able to share such an experience with them on a day that means to much to them ( and to me, even tho it’s NOT my birthday!!)

So recently I received a call from a client who wanted to gift my henna to her lovely daughter Matilda and her friends. She dropped the girls at the studio, gave me a chance to get to know them a bit better and talk not only about Henna but about men, marriage, kids, life, food etc etc. The girls got very curious about what their patterns meant, so after painting them all I started doing mini readings for each one of them. Some got serious and opend up more and some went quite in a  bit of a wonder how a pattern could tell me so much about them…

I spent two hours with them, and realized that when you spend time with younger people, strangely you feel younger and start talking about things you thought of when you were at their age…strange but FUN!

In the end the girls decided to create a friendship star, as a symbol to celebrate their time at Diyastudio. I am assuming that was a six star rating for the Henna experience they had with me, dont you think??!
