HENNA at the Art Gallery Of South Australia

Me doing Henna at the SA Gallery

Doing Henna for the Art Gallery, http://www.artgallery.sa.gov.au/agsa/home is always something I look forward to doing. People who come along are so nice and treat artists with such respect. I was working there for three hours, and not even for a single second I got a chance to look up. I must have done an average of 70 kids and adults, and guess what that’s my slow speed!! I was happy at the end, knowing that I don’t need to go faster then my comfortable speed, I can just work at the speed good for my hand and still make people happy. A lesson I wish I had learned a few years ago, I wouldn’t have hurt my hand so bad. Anyway, better late then never eh!!

Special thanks to Mandi Whitten, Margie Goodchild, Adrian Sheriff and Nina Bhudiya for taking out time and coming along to support me yesterday. Thanks guys, it did mean alot to see your faces, even if it was only for a few seconds!

Hi, I just wanted to say I think your work is fantastic! I’m an art history grad student in Victoria, Canada, and I happened to stumble across your work while researching another artist. Now I think I’m in love :)
