Ahhhh one more fabulous night with so many old and new friends!

I was away on holidays, so missed out on marketing the event properly and started only two weeks before the actual date. Every single night, till the openday I had night mares of no one turning up. I wasn’t worried about my own work, rather I was more concerned for the group of people who were coming together to perform on the night. I wanted to give them the best audience ever, and didn’t want them to feel they wasted their time at my event…anyway I was totally speechless at the number of people who came along to support the special night … it was truly so so magical !!

We had taken special care, to have entertainment through the night, for all age groups, so no one gets bored. Staring from ofcourse myself doing Henna on the night ( unfortunately due to my hand injury I could do as many Henna as I would have liked to!) Adrian Sherriff  of www.animalsanonymous.com.au who is one of the worlds most relaxed person you’ll ever meet. He chats about the Australian animals, sharing information about them, guiding about their life styles and habit…it feels like he’s introducing the animal kingdom to you and making us realize how friendly they are towards us, we just need to give them a chance by holding and feeling them.

We had beautiful Hanna and Morgan, who went around telling mesmerizing stories, playing drums and lighting the place up by just being there, dressed up in the most beautiful costumes. James Stock from www.smoothrevolution.com.au was serving the loveliest smoothies on his modified exercise bike. He served more than 50 drinks with a smile, no wonder he manages to stay so healthy and happy! Adam Lobbestael from www.razedinflames.com.au mesmerized everyone with his amazing glowing performance, sharing his passion for fire. Josh Penley, an actor, director, designer, motivator and a Tarot card reader, was also doing some readings for people who were interested. I got mine done a few months ago, and the whole experience with him, made me so happy it brings a smile on my face even when i thnk about it as i type. He’s truly a man of many talents and I recommend if you’re ever feeling low or lost in life, organise some time with him, he’ll guide you to your path!!!

Nibbles were served by Ameena Ahmed, a very dear friend of mine, from Pakistan. I really wanted people to enjoy the taste of food from my country and wanted to share some of my favorite finger food, and gulab jamuns being the first on the list, then chapli kababs and chicken drum sticks with tamarind sauce!! (making me hungry all over again!!) Lovely Rachna, known to many at the brow guru, came along to do hand painted Indian style bindis on the guests, which were so beautiful and intricate. We had Becky Kill http://www.flickr.com/photos/beckykiil/ and Tanty and Andy www.ant-photography.com.au donating their time, taking wonderful pictures of the night,( their pictures are used in the video I have created, see the link below!) Mandi Whitten, Sarah and Jarred Sutton, Ana Wahyuni, Geaorge Tan, Miriam, Michelle Lee, Raina Hunter, Holly Horne and Josh Penley are not only some of my closest of friends, but this event could not have been possible without their encouragement and support.

Of all the people there on the night, the person whithout whom nothing in my life would not have been possible, is my most loved husband, Mustafa. He inspires me to keep going and reaching high for my dreams and not getting stuck into the normal things of a mundane life. This day only happened because he taught me, not to wait for the opportunities rather, create them because we can.  I wasnt being accepted in the galleries here, due to so many reasons…and so he decided to help me by inviting people to come to me, see my studio and become one with me and my work and understand the passion behind each creation. I thank him from my heart, for trusting in my passion and encouraging me at every step of my life.

I have created a small video, it’s not of any great quality, because I’ve just recently started playing with IMovies on my mac, so hopefully you wont notice many mistakes and can enjoy the video the atmosphere we tried to create and got the community together – http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=399920430112&saved

(Music in the video is from my favorite group from Pakistan – http://www.junoon.com/home2.htm)

Enjoy!

The video is of excellent quality – I can’t believe you have only just started with iMovies! (So glad you have a Mac!) Loved the music too. The Open Day looks like it came together beautifully and was so gorgeous for every one involved! Well done!
