Diya Studio

I have been wanting to start having regular open days at my Studio in Norwood, so the Henna lovers in my city, don’t have to wait for a festival to get painted by me. I figured it also give me a chance to share my space, music and food from my cultural with everyone here, in a much relaxed atmosphere and can have some meaningful conversations and above all be able to have a good time !!

So with that thought in mind, I have decided to do a trial run, only during the month of June to open the studio on Fridays, from 1:00pm – 9:00pm to share with all a special Henna Experience with me. I feel when I go out on the weekend with Henna on my hands, it attracts SO MUCH attention and comments and just makes a conversation begin so easily. Then on days when I at stay home and my hands are all painted with Henna, I feel extra special and very pampered. Either way, having Henna feels great and so I thought if I start sharing it on Fridays, then so many more people can enjoy the same experience as myself with Henna.

Also as most of you will already know, Pakistani culture mainly revolves around food, so I thought this way I can make different exciting dishes from my culture, taking recipes from my sisters blog, www.mayazs.blogspot.com and share the memories of my family, here with everyone. My sister Maria, btw cooks food just like my mother, and her recipes are traditional, yet extremely creative and some times experimental too, LOVE her food and miss having her around !

So in all, I wanted to share my Fridays with everyone, talking about where I come from, share some home cooked finger food and of course pamper you with special Henna.
